When you think about running promotions and attracting people to your business it’s always a good idea to keep it fresh. Updated ideas, offers, promotions, giveaways, ways to share your social media posts, different ideas to be noticed as a business – these are the tactics that separate ho-hum businesses from the amazing growth success stories. Why not do “a change-up?”
I was visiting a store I had not been in for over 8 years and while I was happy to be there – I was bored. The same products were sitting in the same locations on the same shelves from 5 years previous. I was not impressed. I’m sure the owner is proud to still be in business and keeping the products in stock that his customers supposedly love, but honestly I needed to see a change-up.
Are you changing-up anything at your business?
Think about moving items around. Making customers FIND the sale rack – not just making that their first point in the store. Do you think the grocery store is silly to put the milk way in the back? They know you will grab oreos or chips on the way back up to the cashier. Do the same thing for your business!
You have to think about making shopping a fun activity in your business. Remember, people want to be entertained. How can you make it a fun, enjoyable experience where they might Tweet, Post and Share their cool new find? How can you influence their decision making? Store displays need to be refreshed and fun.
Whether you have just an online presence or a brick and mortar store, be sure to do a change-up once in a while. I’ve changed my theme on this site twice and it might happen again as I think it’s getting out dated. You should do the same.
Time for some spring cleaning? Do a change-up with your business physically and with your marketing strategy and make more sales. Don’t get stuck running the same old game plays.
